 The elders and professionals in southern Nigeria held a meeting in Lagos to consolidate the unity of the region.

 Those who gathered to consider a better way to push the country into the path of justice, highlighted by the Nigerian diplomat Christopher Kolade, Professor Anya. O Anya and General Ike Nwachukwu.

 The meeting held that there was an urgent need to deal with many unrest issue from all over the country.

CHURCH ELDER ARRESTED FOR DUPING PASTOR OF N10M

PR Nigeria reports that he was arraigned on a two-count charge of obtaining money under false pretense and stealing the sum of N10m belonging to the head pastor and general overseer of a Pentecostal church in the commercial city. In 2014, the arrested Elder Ijeoma was siad to have visit the pastor of the church with a business proposal. Elder Ijeoma need cash for is importation of pest sprayer from USA and promise the pastor that three months after sales of the product he will pay back.  The pastor of the church gave him the money due to the fact that Elder Ijeoma is a member an elder of the church. The pastor waited for three months to hear from Ijeoma to bring back the money as he promise. He then approached Ijeoma and demanded to know why the products were not yet imported, to which he said he had invested the money in a US-based cream company and that NAFDAC approval was needed before the goods would be exported to Nigeria; a development different from wh...

Edo Assembly elects new Speaker, Kabiru Ajoto

Members of the Edo Congress on behalf of the Akoko-Edo constituency, and Hon. Kabiru Ajoto, were elected as new speakers of the assembly. Members of the House of Representatives in the city of Benin on Monday after the Easter, elected Hon Ajoto, followed by the impechment of the  speaker Justin Okonoboh . According to the legislator, one of the charges against Okonoboh was that he closed the Edo State House of Asembly to attend his son's graduates in the United States. Mr. Ajoto told reporters shortly after his swearing that the exercise was carried out in accordance with due process. Also accused  Okonoboh of running the Ed gues House  like the private sector, Ajoto said that if not implemented, change the leadership is normal. He claimed that the former spokesman, despite repeated warnings, had adjourned the House of Representatives and had no due process in awarding contract.
