CHURCH ELDER ARRESTED FOR DUPING PASTOR OF N10M
PR Nigeria reports that he was arraigned on a two-count charge of obtaining money under false pretense and stealing the sum of N10m belonging to the head pastor and general overseer of a Pentecostal church in the commercial city.
In 2014, the arrested Elder Ijeoma was siad to have visit the pastor of the church with a business proposal. Elder Ijeoma need cash for is importation of pest sprayer from USA and promise the pastor that three months after sales of the product he will pay back.
The pastor of the church gave him the money due to the fact that Elder Ijeoma is a member an elder of the church.
The pastor waited for three months to hear from Ijeoma to bring back the money as he promise. He then approached Ijeoma and demanded to know why the products were not yet imported, to which he said he had invested the money in a US-based cream company and that NAFDAC approval was needed before the goods would be exported to Nigeria; a development different from what was agreed upon.
