Nigeria Ministry of finance said that the sum of N375.8 million as been paid to 20 whistle-blowers that assist the EFFC in recovery of 11.635 billion
Mrs Kemi Adeosun, Nigeria Minister of finance, said the money was the first payment under the whistle blower policy. which emphasized the commitment of the Buhari government to anti-corruption.
The Minister explained tat all payments were taxable and were made only wen the final recovery of the assets of the Federal Attorney General was deemed to be without legal disputes or litigation.
While the federal government has been seeking ways to improve whistle-blowing report in Nigeria. It also surpassed financial crimes in April and extended it to illegally possessed small arms and light weapons.
