ALLEGED N4 BILLION FRAUD
Former aviation minister, Mr. Fani-Kayode, has asked the High Court in Lagos to hands off his trail on allegations of money laundering.
His lawyer, Norrison Quakers, SAN, asked Judge Rilwan Aikawa, to ordered the case to be handed over to the court of Abuja.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has reconsidered Mr. Fani-Kayode, Senator Nenadi Usman and two others on 17 count of fraud whom are suspected of fraud and money laundering of N4.9 billion. They do not plead guilty.
He also told the court that he's living in Abuja and is currently conducting another trial in Abuja, which is the appropriate place for the case.
However, EFCC lawyer Rotimi Oyedepo urged the court to refuse the application.
Justice Aikawa has adjourned until 26 and 27 September to adjudicate on this issue.
