5 KLLED,14 INJURED IN FIT OVER FOOD AID
5 people were killed and 14 wounded during the exchange of fire between the two government forces on Friday, when fighting broke out during the sharing of relief food in Baida, Somalia.
The incident occurred earlier in the day at a site where those in-charge are already in the processing of sharing food to displaced persons caused by drought in the beginning of the year.
"The displace persons were caught in exchange of fire as they were queued up for food, but police officials were convinced that the case is being followed up and investigated."a statement made by an eye witnesses
Somalia is slowly recovering from drought which may reduce the risk of famine in the horn of Africa.
The drought resulted in about 6.2 million people accounting for about half of the country's population and needed food aid
