Illegal migration : Osinbajo calls for proper sensitisation of youths
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo blamed a lack of information and false impression that life out there is more rosier in Europe, which is why young Nigerian men and women travel abroad illegally.
He disclosed the matter to a committee set up to study the issue of Libya.
Osinbajo believes that getting young Nigerians to recognize the truth about what they will face during their illegal travel will curb this threat.
Osinbajo, who chairs the committee, said the president fears that the 26th woman who died in the Mediterranean Sea during the recent burial could prove that they are all Nigerians.
He assured the Committee that the Commission would submit a report at the end of its mandate to reduce illegal immigration in the near future.
