UN Holds Emergency Session On Libya Slave Trading

The Security Council discussed the possibility of sanctioning individuals and entities, as well as the possibility of applying all international law, including the use of the International Criminal Court - but the meeting ended without a solution.

 In addition to verbally speaking, UNHCR officials also called for funding to combat the modern slave trade.
