COMMUNAL CLASH IN KWARA STATE

Three people were killed and several others were wounded after the dispute between two neighboring communities, Ilofa and Odo-owa, in the Oke-ero local government area of kwara state. Eyewitnesses said that it all started when one of the traditional rulers from one of the two communities entered the market shared by the two villages, to flag off annual yarn festivals. It is reported that traditional ruler from the other community was not at rest with what they did in the market and went into the market  with criminals to dislodge them. Soldiers have be deployed to  maintain law and order.

ETISSLATE CHAIRMAN RESIGN

Hakeem Bello-Osagie, chairman of Etisalat Nigeria Ltd., resigned after the reorganization of the telecommunications company. His resignation came into effect immediately, then the company's major shareholder withdrawal Mr. Bello-Osagie is a surviving shareholder in the embsttled mobile operators and is currently in the $ 1.2 billion ($ 77.47 billion) loan repayment crisis with a consortium 13 Nigeria banks. He is the former chairman of the United  Bank of  African UBA

680 JTF MEMBERS HAVE DIED IN FIGHT AGINST BOKO HARAM - OFFICIAL

Since 2012, at least 680 members of the Civilian Joint Task Force have died in fight against Boko Harram's attacks in Borno. The group Legal officer Junril Gunda's referred to this known statement, almost never heard of any terrorist attacks in the state, and members of the group would not be killed. Guta said that despite the high number of casualties, the People's Army remained fearlessly protecting the country's society from terrorists. According to him, the agency has registered not less than 23,000 young police officers in order to provide citizenship protection in every corner and corner of the country. He said the work of the civilian movement was purely to prevent the Boko Haram militants from causing damage in society.

PRESIDENTIAL JET IN LONDON

The presidency has reacted to the critisms of having a presidential aircraft standing by for President Muhammadu Buhari as he is being treated in London In a response to these criticisms, Presidency spokeman Garba Shehu said that most of the dialogue on this topic came from those who did not understand the  foreign travel agreement regarding to head of state. According to shehu, he said that for the reasons of national security, diplomacy and prestige, there is no plan for the leaders of the world to travel abroad without immediate return or possible evacuation. He added that the Nigerian armed forces took it as an obligation not to give up their commander in chief, no matter where he was. He further clarified that if the free parking was not given, the Nigerian government could rest assured that it would pay no more than 1,000 pounds for parking the jet.

THE BAYELSA GOVERNMENT ESTABLISH LAND DISTRIBUTION BOARD

Seriake Dickson, governor of Bayelsa state, has set up a land distribution committee to stop landlords and litigation cases caused by multiple sales. Gov. S. DICKSON In his speech to the members of the Committee during the National Executive Council meeting,  governor  Seriake Dickson  stressed that people living in the state had to buy public land through a properly accepted certificate of residence.

FORMER VICE PRESIDENT SAMBO NNAMADI KADUNA HOME WAS RAID BY EFCC

Operatives  of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission raided the home of former vice president of Nigeria, Naimadi Sambo, on Wednesday in  Kaduna . The details of the operation are still rough when submitting this report. Recall that last year, EFCC raided the Aabuja office of the former vice president, which is part of the former President Goodluck Jonathan government weapons procurement scam.
