Army replaces commander of Operation Lafiya Dole, Attahiru Ibrahim

Image result for Nigeria armyThe Theater Commander, Operation Lafiya Dole, Attahiru Ibrahim, has been removed from the position.

Ibrahim's redeployment comes three days after Boko Haram insurgents was carried out which is one of the deadliest attacks on Biu town in Borno where at least 18 people were killed and 52 others seriously injured.

He has now been replaced by Rogers Nicholas, also a major general.
The new Theater Commander was, until his appointment, the Chief of Logistics at Army headquarters in Abuja.




Ibrahim is believed to have been redeployed to the Army headquarters as the Deputy Chief of Policy and Plans.
Although the army has not officially announced the new deployments to Nigerians.

Ondo police arrest two for attacking Igbokoda monarch

Ondo State police have arrested two suspects suspected of attacking the Igbokoda monarch in a government area in the Oba Afolabi Odidiomo area in Ondo State On Thursday, the Oba was attacked by a mob in his community with a machete. The traditional ruler sustain several cut on his head, and was left by the assailant to stay in a pool of blood. Operatives  of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission raided the home of former vice president of Nigeria, Naimadi Sambo, on Wednesday in  Kaduna . The details of the operation are still rough when submitting this report. Recall that last year, EFCC raided the Aabuja office of the former vice president, which is part of the former President Goodluck Jonathan government weapons procurement scam.
