Adamawa : Six mobile policemen killed in Numan

There is tension in Numan town in Adamawa state, with many residents fleeing the area after six mobile police officers were allegedly killed by some residents.

Details of the attack are not yet clear, but Security sources and an resident say the late-night killings occurred as police tried to arrest some leaders in Dowaya, a predominantly Fulani settlement.
Dozens of mainly Fulani residents, including women and children, were killed in Numan over a week ago by a local militia.
