The Dead Also Made Buhari's List of Appointees

The list of appointees into the various boards as approved by President Muhammadu Buhari is filled with errors.
Rev Christopher Utov * as a Member of Nigerian Institute of Social & Economic Research. Rev Utov, the proprietor of Fidei Polytechnic, Gboko passed away on the 17 March 2017

2. * Chief Donald Ugbaja * as a Member of the Consumer Protection Council. The Chief Ugbaja, a former DIG of Police died on 29/11/17

 3. * Senator Francis Okpozo * as Chairman of the Nigerian Press Council. Senator Okpozo, a Senator in the Second Republic, died on Dec 16, 2016.
President Buhari even issued a statement mourning his death.

Edo Assembly elects new Speaker, Kabiru Ajoto

Members of the Edo Congress on behalf of the Akoko-Edo constituency, and Hon. Kabiru Ajoto, were elected as new speakers of the assembly. Members of the House of Representatives in the city of Benin on Monday after the Easter, elected Hon Ajoto, followed by the impechment of the  speaker Justin Okonoboh . According to the legislator, one of the charges against Okonoboh was that he closed the Edo State House of Asembly to attend his son's graduates in the United States. Mr. Ajoto told reporters shortly after his swearing that the exercise was carried out in accordance with due process. Also accused  Okonoboh of running the Ed gues House  like the private sector, Ajoto said that if not implemented, change the leadership is normal. He claimed that the former spokesman, despite repeated warnings, had adjourned the House of Representatives and had no due process in awarding contract.

Breaking: Ambode suspends Baale of Shangisha for faking kidnap

Lagos State governor, Akinwunmi Ambode on Thursday approved the suspension of the traditional ruler of Shangisha in Magodo, Chief Yusuf Ogundare for faking his kidnap which allegedly took place on July 5, 2017. In a memo with reference number OLGAS.83 / S. / Vol.1 dated July 13, 2017 addressed to the Sole Administrator of Ikosi-Isheri LCDA and signed by the State of Commissioner for Local Government and Community Affairs, Hon Teslim Folami, Governor Ambode Directed Ogundare to stop parading myself henceforth as the Baale of the community till being notice According to the memo, Folami said: "I am directed to convey the approval of His Excellency, Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of the suspension of Chief Yusuf Ogundare, Baale of Shangisha with immediate effect in accordance with Section 38 subsection 1 of the Obas and Chiefs Laws Of Lagos State which states stated "the Governor may suspend or depose any Oba or chief incised or after commencement of this law, if he is sati...
