Court grants Senator Misau bail self-recognition
The Supreme Court of Abuja has granted Senator Isah Misau bail self-recognition.
Misau, accused of representing the Bauchi Central Senate, was charged with ten counts on charges of forgery and other related crimes.
He did not plead his 10-point amendment to him. Defense lawyer Uchena Ogbunabo immediately prayed the court to grant bail on free and self-assured basis.
Judge Anwuli Chikere, the trial judge, ordered the accused to deposit his international passport with the General Registrar of the Court and make an application as required. The judge postponed the matter until January 21 for trial.
