More than 500 houses destroyed in Sokoto windstorm

Image result for sahara desert storm in sokotoSome parts of Illela local government area in  Sokoto state have suffered a devastating storm that destroyed more than 500 houses.


The village head of Shiyara Namata, one of the most affected areas, told TVC News that the property worth about 25 million was destroyed.

The roof top was blown away, and many buildings collapsed while it lasted 
Some of the victims are currently attending to medical treatment  in the medical centers.

The value of millions of Naira's property was destroyed in a region of the town of illela border in Shiyar Namata.
This is a new layout, some of the affected buildings have not yet been occupied by the owners.

The victims are seeking the support of the government so that they can return to their homes in a distant time.

Illela is a border town between Nigeria and the Republic of Niger, which is occasionally struck by the Sahara Desert Storm.
