Nnamdi Kanu’s lawyer sues Burutai, wants him released

Nnamdi Kanu's lawyer has gone to court to ask the Army Chief of Staff Tukur Buratai to know the where about of the indigenous people's leaders. Ifeanyi Ejiofor's motion in a federal high court in Abuja on Wednesday also asked the court to lift the embargo of the group. Ejiofor said the IPOB leader was last seen on September 14 in Afara-ukwu, Umuahia, Abia, invaded his home. The court echoesthe request of kanu's brother Emanuel, that the army produces his brother either death or alive.

Army invades NUJ Secretariat in Abia

A detachment of the Nigerian army on Tuesday invaded the premises of the Nigerian Union of Journalists, Abia state chapter in Umuahia destroying properties and other electronic gadgets. They also beat up journalists who were called to duty by their various media house in the state. The army is in the south east where they relaunched operation python dance to deal with agitations, killings and kidnapping. Meanwhile, Ohanaeze Ndigbo has called on the Federal Government to direct the military to call off its military operation in the South-East immediately. The Chief of Training and Operations of the Nigerian Army, Maj. Gen. D. D. Ahmadu, announced the setting up of the operation. He says that Operation Python Dance II was being planned in the five South Eastern States to address “assassinations, attacks on security personnel, theft of weapons, violent agitations, armed banditry and kidnapping”. Bayalse Governor Saraki Dickson says the University of Africa in Toru-Orua, Bayelsa will be an excellent example of the end of academic activity. He revealed this at the permanent site inspection work in tertiary institutions. Imo police confirm murder of abducted Catholic Reverend Father

Imo State Police Commander has confirmed kidnapping and murder priest "Monster II". Imo police chief Chris Ezike said the remains of the pastor of the Orlu Catholic parish had been recovered. National Strike

Makurdi Flood victims

The Nigerian Air Force, on Monday inaugurated medical assistance programme to meet the medical needs of the recent flood victims in Makurdi, Benue. The Director of Public Relations and Information, NAF Headquarters, Air Commodore Olatokunbo Adesanya, disclosed this in a statement in Abuja. According to Adesanya, the programme was inaugurated by Air Officer Commanding (AOC) Tactical Air Command (TAC) of NAF, AVM MA Idris. He said the programme was part of the Command’s corporate social responsibility and was borne out of the desire to contribute to the medical needs of the flood victims.。

14 Dead, 230 Admitted In Borno IDP Camp

After the outbreak of cholera in the camps of the internally displaced persons in the Muna garage in the state of Bono, 14 people were killed and 230 were admitted. In response to the outbreak, the United Nations opened an emergency hospital in the camp and is currently undergoing hospitalization in two hospitals. Officials from the World Health Organization, UNICEF and the Ministry of Health of Borno are now present and patients are also present.

BOKO HARAM TERRORIST KILLED IN BORNO

The Nigeria army killed a large numbers of boko Haram members in Borno, Northeast Nigeria.  Brigadier General Sanni Uthman, Director of the Department of public Relations, Army, said that the suspected boko Haram member where neutralized in the early hour of Monday morning Brigadier Uthman said the insurgents and other personnel who were armed with gunshot wounds were ambushed at the border of Boko Haram at the border with Firgi-Banki in the state. According to him, the operation was carried out by the Troop of mobile Strike Team (MST) 21, which was deployed in the "Lafiya"  The Nigeria Army Recovered the following from the terrorists "18 bicycles,  15 bags of grains, 17 gallons of grain, five empty gallons, six cutlasses, a sword, water bottles and pairs of slippers."
